Newline Cast - How to Use the Broadcast Feature
This article will show you how to use the broadcast feature within Newline Cast. This will allow you to broadcast from the primary panel to other displays without having to use both the Newline Cast and Broadcast application. This article will be specifically oriented to broadcasting (sharing the primary screen) to other displays.
- Open the Newline Cast app on both devices (the one you're looking to share from and to).
- To allow the primary panel to broadcast to another display, we'll first go into Newline Cast's settings.
- Then, navigate into the Display Options.
- This is where you will turn on either / both of the broadcast options: to participants and displays.
** If you have Moderator Mode enabled, please go back into the 'Session Management' settings and ensure it still still turned on. ** - After that is turned on, when you exit the settings menu, you'll see the broadcast option in the lower corner.
- Click that, and it will bring you to a page where you'll enter the Session ID of the display you're looking to broadcast to.
- After you've entered in that Session ID, the broadcast will start.
- Then, you can exit out of the broadcast menu and share your screen as usual, and it will appear on both displays.
Helpful tips:
- If you are casting to the panel using the Display Note app, the primary display will still have touch-back control, but the display that is receiving the broadcast from the primary display, if a touch-capable panel/device, will not have touch-back control.
