How To Control OTA Updates and Notifications
This article will walk you through how to find and control OTA updates & notification settings both physically on the panel and on Newline Display Management (NDM). In addition, it will explain the functionality that the NDM settings effect on the panel(s) you apply them to.
To access the settings directly on the panel, please see the steps below. For NDM, refer to the end of article.
Q Pro and Z Pro Series:
(Firmware Version 1.0.75 & 1.1.09)
1. Navigate into the panel's Settings.
2. Scroll down to 'System', tap into it.
3. Scroll down to 'Advanced', tap into it.
4. Enter Admin Password
5. Tap 'System Update'.
Q and Z Series:
1. Navigate into the panel's Settings.
2. Scroll down to 'System', tap into it.
3. Tap 'Advanced'.
4. Enter Admin Password
5. Tap 'System Update'.
STV+ Series:
** Settings will be available starting in Firmware Version 1.0.13 **
1. Navigate into the 'Settings' on the panel
- If you're on the home screen, you can select the Settings button on the remote.
2. Click into the 'System' menu
3. Then, click into 'System Update'
Newline Display Management (NDM):
1. Select one/many panel(s) and navigate into 'Device Settings'
2. Navigate into the 'Newline' settings menu and scroll down.
NDM OTA Update Settings Descriptions: OTA Notification: - Controls the notification that pops up on the panel when an update is available. Disable Local OTA: - Controls the ability to push OTA updates from NDM and when in front of the panel. OTA Background Download: - Controls the 'Automatic firmware updates' setting on the panel - This will download the firmware and update the panel directly after the update becomes available, automatically (if panel is connected to the network).
