Newline Cast - Parsing Error
When updating the Newline cast app on the panel, there are some instances where it fails resulting in a "parsing error".
To resolve this, please try the following:
- Ensure the panel's firmware is up to date. Check the following article to find the latest firmware version for your panel: https://newlineinteractive.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/8000109794-current-firmware-versions
- Reconfigure the app settings to ensure it can properly install updates:
- Access the panel's settings > Apps > Newline Cast.
- Click Force stop to close the application.
- Scroll through the app settings and locate Install other apps or Install unknown sources.
- Enable Allow from this source.
- Go back a page and select Modify System settings.
- Enable Allow modify system settings.
- Go back to the homepage of the panel and then click Screen sharing to re-initiate the app update.
