Firmware updates are periodically available for TruTouch panels. The required files and steps vary depending on the model. For the best assistance with updating your TruTouch panel, please submit a ticket via our portal at Submit a ticket : Newline Technical Services (freshdesk.com) 

  • Model of each TruTouch panel
  • Serial number from at least one of each different TruTouch panel model
  • Current firmware version from at least one of each different TruTouch panel model


For models ending in 19RS, Q, and Z, the System update function can be used to update the firmware. An internet connection to the panel is required for this feature to work. These updates are incremental and several may need to be installed to fully update the panel. If the panel prompts for additional firmware updates after installing one update, we recommend submitting a ticket to obtain the latest firmware update files and steps. These updates can be applied by utilizing a USB flash drive.

The System update function can be found here:

  • On the home screen of the panel, access "Settings" by tapping on the gear in the top right.
  • Navigate to System.
  • (Q and Z only) Tap Advanced, and enter the admin code from the user manual.
  • Tap System update.

For all other models, please submit a ticket.

How to check the current firmware version, depending on the model of the panel:


19RS, Q, and Z:

  1. On the home screen of the panel, access "Settings" by tapping on the gear in the top right.
  2. Navigate to System.
  3. Tap About.
  4. Under the Firmware version, check for the three numbers after V. 


18RS and VN:

  1. On the home screen of the panel, access "Settings" by tapping on the gear in the top right.
  2. Navigate to About.
  3. Under the Firmware version, check for the three numbers after V.


IP:

  1. Power on the panel. Press MENU on the remote controller or use one finger to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to enter the user menu setting interface.
  2. Navigate to OPTION.
  3. Tap Next Page or About.
  4. Under Firmware Version, check for the numbers after V.
