NDM – How To Create a Block List (Block Apps)
This article will help you create a block list within the Newline Display Management portal. A block list will allow you to block apps on your Newline display and preventing users from being able to use the blocked apps.
1. In the Devices tab within the Newline Display Management portal, select the displays you wish to create a block list for.
2. Select Policies at the top.
3. Select to Add New on the bottom-left of the page.
4. If prompted, select the Android option.
5. Create a name for the new policy in the “Policy name” entry.
6. Next, select the lock icon to open the Block list tab and click to turn ON the block list.
7. Once toggled on, two windows will appear. The window on the left are the list of apps currently available on the selected Newline displays. The window on the right are the list of apps that are blocked.
NOTE: The window on the right should be empty when creating a new block list.
8. At the top of the left window there is a search bar. Search for the app you wish to block and select the “+” to add it to the block list. To unblock the app, select the trash can icon next to the app.
9. After moving all desired apps to the block list select the Confirm button.
10. Select the newly created Policy and select to Apply on the bottom-right to push it out to all selected displays.
