STV / STV+ - Firmware Updates

 

Firmware updates are periodically available for the STV & STV+ Series. The required files and steps vary depending on the model. For the best assistance with updating your STV & STV+ Series, please submit a ticket via our portal here: Submit a ticket.

  • Model of each STV / STV+ Series panel
  • Serial number from at least one of each different STV / STV+ Series panel 
  • Current firmware version from at least one of each different STV / STV+ Series panel


For both the STV & STV Plus, the System update function can be used to update the firmware. An internet connection to the panel is required for this feature to work. These updates are incremental and several may need to be installed to fully update the panel. If the panel prompts for additional firmware updates after installing one update, we recommend submitting a ticket to obtain the latest firmware update files and steps. These updates can be applied by utilizing a USB flash drive.


The System update function for the STV can be found here:

  • On the home screen of the panel, access "Applications".
  • Navigate to System update.
  • Select Online Upgrade


For the STV+, the updates can be pushed via NDM or by accepting the update prompt on the panel itself.

How to check the current firmware version, depending on the model of the panel:

STV: 

  1. Click the gear icon on bottom right of the STV remote.
  2. Select “System settings”. 
  3. Then, select “About”.
  4. Near the bottom you’ll see the V8 Version - The current version will be the last 4 characters, V###.

STV+:

  1. Click the gear icon on bottom right of the STV remote.
  2. Navigate to "System"
  3. Then "About".
  4. Then you'll see the Firmware version: V#.#.#.
