Activity House - FAQ and Best Practices
Operating System Support
Which operating systems support Activity House?
Activity House is supported only on Windows 10 and Windows 11 devices. It is not compatible with macOS, Chrome OS (Chromebooks, Chromeboxes), or the embedded OS on Newline IFPs.
Computer Best Practices
What is the best way to run Activity House on my Newline panel?
If your panel has an OPS computer installed, the best option is to install Activity House on this computer for convenience since it is always attached to the panel. The OPS is installed on the left side of the panel, in the large upper slot. See here for a video showing the location of the OPS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLrBAk1Rs4A
What if I don't have an OPS computer?
Activity House can be installed on a laptop or desktop that connects into the panel's ports. For panels without USB-C inputs, a video cable (HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA) must be connected along with a USB cable for touch, into a paired set of ports on the panel. If the panel does have USB-C inputs and the computer supports outputting video through USB-C, a single cable can be used to connect with video and touch through one cable.
