NDM - How to Lock a Panel
The Newline Display Management system offers the ability to lock a panel. This can be useful for when a user forgets to log out of their local profile on the panel.
This function is only applicable for the Q and the Z series panel.
1. In the management portal, click the hardware ID of the panel to bring up the mini dashboard.
2. Click Lock on the right side.
3. Click Lock and then select Yes to confirm.
To unlock , click Unlock in the same window.
It can also be unlocked in front of the panel by an authorized user as long as they have the password to sign in.
Here are brief illustrations that showcase the difference.
Before lock - this is when the panel is on the homepage of the panel.
After lock - the panel is in a lock state preventing unwanted access.
To unlock - the panel can be unlocked in front of the panel by clicking the lock icon and then entering the password.
