NDM - How to Use Workflows

Combining several actions and commands together can save you time and allow multiple actions in one task instead of applying each command one by one.

In essence, workflows are macros you can create to apply to panels.

How to create a workflow

1. In the management portal, click Repositories on the left side of the menu.

2. Click Workflow. A new window will open showing all existing workflow repositories if previously created.

3. To create a new one, click Add new.

4. Type a name for your workflow repository.

5. Click the clipboard or the command icon on the left.

6. Click the Add command where you will be presented with a majority of different functions you can add to the workflow.

7. Continue to add different commands based on the preference for your workflow. Please keep in mind that the order is important as the workflow will execute the commands in sequence.

8. Once complete, click Confirm to save.

Example of a workflow

In this example, the goal was to create a workflow to apply device settings, download apps, and then shut down the panel. When sent, NDM will first apply the device settings. Once it is complete, it will install the app. Lastly, after the device setting and install app are complete, the panel will shut down.
