NDM - Tags Overview


Tags are labels or keywords that are used to categorize the panels. This process makes it easier to manage, search, and organize panels. Tags are also used to separation of panels for other users who may have non-admin access to your account. 


Tags can be used for several things within NDM, for example:

  • Searching for devices based on a tag 
  • Assigning a tag to a specific user, this creates visibility of only these panels for that user.
  • Group creation with tags, when panels are assigned the tag they will be added to that group.
  • Send a command to panels that only include the specific tag.


Tags can be created with what works best for your environment, for example: 

  • "ES" - Elementary School
  • "MS" - Middle School
  • "HS" - High School
  • "JohnDoeES" - John Doe Elementary School
  • "Building1" - Building 1
  • "Conf" - Conference Room


How to add tags

  1. In the management portal, select one or multiple panels.
  2. Click More actions and then select Tags.
  3. Type the tag and then click Enter.
  4. Afterward, click Confirm to save.
  5. The same can be done to delete a tag. From the picture above, you can click the X icon next to a tag to delete it.
