The steps below are for performing a software reset for your TruTouch display. To perform a hardware reset, see the following article: Hardware reset


A factory reset will resolve various software issues with your display.


Before getting started, note that this process will:

  • Erase all files, data, and added apps on the built-in portion of the display
  • Revert preloaded apps, such as Newline Cast (if originally included), to their original version
  • Restore factory default settings
  • Take approximately five minutes to perform the reset in most cases

This process will not:

  • Affect data for the onboard PC
  • Affect data for any externally attached computers
  • Downgrade or change the current firmware version

The display or panel's settings can be accessed by tapping one of the following icons on the home screen, depending on the model of your panel (these icons do not apply to the NT and IP series):


Q and Z:

  1. Access the panel's settings.
  2. Navigate to System, then Advanced.
  3. Type in your Admin password. If you do not know your Admin password, please reach out to your IT team, or submit a ticket to us if you are needing the default Admin password.
  4. Tap Reset.
  5. Tap Network Settings Reset, let that finish.
  6. Once finished, tap Factory Data Reset.


19RS:

  1. Access the panel's settings.
  2. Navigate to System, then About.
  3. Select Factory data reset and tap Reset.
  4. The panel will begin the reset process and automatically reboot.


NT/NT+:

  1. Press the Menu button on the remote control.
  2. Select Setting.
  3. Scroll to the next page of options and select About.
  4. Select Factory data reset.


IP:

  1. Press the Menu button on the remote control, or use one finger to swipe up from the bottom of the screen to enter the user menu setting interface.
  2. Navigate to OPTION.
  3. Tap Apply on Restore User Setting.


18RS, VN, FB, UB, and X:

  1. Access the panel's settings.
  2. Navigate to About.
  3. Select Factory data reset and tap OK.
  4. The panel will begin the reset process and automatically reboot.


IB and NB:

  1. Access the panel's settings.
  2. Navigate to About.
  3. Select Reset and tap OK. You may need to tap OK on a second pop-up to start the process.
  4. The panel will begin the reset process and automatically reboot.
